Design Trends: Standing out!

Attracting attention at trade shows is the first step to success

Depending on the events you exhibit at, a common mistake for most of the exhibitors is to rent the same booth structure as everyone else; the one's offered by the show.  In order to get noticed, think outside the box. How can you be different and attract attention? Skyline booth offerings  (all rentable and personalisable) allow you to create different  booth configurations and designs compared to those basic schells.

Here are other advantages related to this new product:

InterfaceFLOR® Carpet Tiles

With the new Skyline carpet tiles, you can create patterns that will attract attention. You can also decide to print your logo on the flooring for more branding and brand awareness. This personalized flooring  is considered by marketing experts and designers to be your 5th wall!

Here are other advantages related to this new product:

  • 100% recyclable
  • Made with over 40% of recycled content
  • Tiles provide access under the carpet even after the exhibit is installed
  • No need to use double sided tape
  • Your carpet is damaged? Change only the damaged tile
  • Extremely portable compare to carpet roll

Fabric Conference Room and New Sliding Door

Setting meeting appointments prior to a  trade  show figures amongst the new trends that are shaping the industry. The objective is to get face to face with your best prospects and best  existing customers. In order to have a discussion in a confortable environment, you need to have either a semi or private conference room.

Can you remember ever seeing a Fabric Conference Room at a Trade Show.  Don't remember one? Absolutely. This is the reason why it’s another good option for you to stand out. This option is also much lighter and much easier to carry around than the standard conference rooms made with rigid walls. Thus, cost savings. You can also print your logo, tagline or any other marketing messages for more branding and brand awareness.

You find that traditional conference room doors are taking room in your booth space when you open it? We have a solution for you. Skyline has developed a system of sliding doors to avoid having to open them inside or outside your booth. You can now use all the space around it. We had to think of it!

Having a theme in your booth

Another good way to stand out is having a theme in your booth like the KMS brand did. The goal was to promote a brand image based on individuality and lifestyle. This is why they went with large photos of real people in casual, outdoor settings. “The booth created this emotional attachment that we did not anticipate” says Pierre Goneau, vice president of education at KPSS. They set a sales record while relaunching its KMS California hair-care brand and introducing a new product line.

A theme can create a sense of belonging and then stimulate the visitors to enter your booth. Isn’t it what you want?

Design Elements

Stand-offs

Sometimes, we don’t need that much to stand out and follow the trends. Simple elements can help you reach those objectives. As a first example we have the stand-offs. They allow you to install board graphics on rigid walls at a certain distance. This space will create a 3D effect and will add vitality to your Trade Show Booth. They can also be used to add decorative elements on a reception counter top. Always in the mindset of stylizing your booth.

Hanging Cables

Give your marketing message real interest and depth! Hanging Cables are the second element that we want to share with you that allows you to hang board graphics. This option will not only add a design touch to your booth but will also give you the opportunity to easily and quickly change the message and/or image conveyed by the graphic depending on your target market at the specific show you're at.

Case Study (Conference Room)

PDVSA: Be the Star of the Show!

A lively 60'-by-70' exhibit clearly positioned Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of Venezuela, as a global energy giant at the Offshore Technology Congress in Houston.
PDVSA planned to conduct business at the conference and needed meeting space, so the design included three large conference rooms plus a press office and a technical office.
When the convention center had no space available for a press conference with the company's president, the conference rooms gave PDVSA the ability to adapt. Skyline converted the three rooms into an alcove with seating for 60 in barely a half-hour.

An estimated 500 people jammed the exhibit for a closed-circuit view on the plasma screens and computer monitors. Thirty minutes later, the conference rooms reappeared, and 40 extra chairs hid in the exhibit's storage space.
PDVSA has exhibited from Canada to Qatar and from Brazil to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Skyline's comprehensive service makes global exhibiting a worry-free adventure.
